the northern star dress
Let´s introduce our first ever statement dress, designed and custom made for and together with Jessica Almenäs. The idea to make a stylish, fun and sporty party dress for Jessica came up during a photo shoot almost a year ago.
Jessica wanted a MWH dress for the upcoming Idrottsgalan (a Sports Gala in Sweden broadcasted on television). We started brainstorming design ideas on how to make a party dress sporty and made of deadstock fabric.
The result could be seen at the Idrottgala and Jessica really looked smashing!
the development process
When we decided to make the party dress, we gathered
lots of ideas and started sketching a dress that would be worthy of a gala, have sporty details and at the same time maybe be able to match with sneakers.
We also wanted to make the dress out of our deadstock fabric. Deadstock is “leftovers” - fabric from our production
that ended up not being made into finished garments. Historically, most of the deadstock fabrics in the fashion industry was simply thrown away and we want to change that.
Making our sketches and thoughts a reality was more
difficult than we thought. The challenges were many, but with a little persistence and focus on problem solving, we finally got the dress the way we wanted it!

Let us also introduce our first pattern that we have designed in collaboration with Johanna Roos, www.johannaroosdesign.se.
She is a creative entrepreneur based in Norrköping, and works as graphic designer, art director, pattern designer, and illustrator with a focus on patterns.
We contacted her when we were designing Jessica's dress and the result is a graphic and stylish signature pattern with the words Move Work Harmony (MWH). It turned out beautifully, didn't it?
